POWERhour! Luncheons spotlight POWERFUL women in San Antonio. These women have helped build our city to be first class and the seventh largest city in the USA and are key leaders in our city, universities and businesses!
Lynn Hickey
SAWCC is excited that our next POWERhour! Luncheon leader is Lynn Hickey, UTSA Athletic Director. Lynn has made student-athlete welfare one of her top priorities as she works to bring the UTSA Athletics Department to the upper echelon of the NCAA Division 1 standings. Under her direction, UTSA has captured two Southland Conference Commissioner's Cups as the league's top athletics department and two men's and one women's all-sports trophies consistently winning both team and individual academic and athletics awards in all 17 sports sponsored by the university. Lynn has overseen the addition of three sports during her tenure. Women's golf and women's soccer were added as well as men's football! In 2007, she was named to the NCAA Division 1 Men's Basketball Committee, one of the most prestigious appointments in all of collegiate athletics. Lynn is only the second female ever selected to the committee.
Registration and Networking will begin at 11:15am. Lunch will be served around 11:35am. The program will start at 12 noon and will adjourn at 1:00pm.
Parking: There is ample parking in the Sunset Station lot for a special discounted price of $5 for POWERhour! Luncheon participants. Additional free or metered parking is available around the Sunset Station area.
NOTE: Registrants who choose to pay at the door and then do not attend the event will be billed for the cost of the luncheon.
